June 23: International Women in Engineering Day

For the second consecutive year, the Faculty of Engineering will celebrate the international women in engineering day on June 23rd by offering several online activities co-organized with the academic departments.
The aim of this international campaign is to raise awareness and discussion about women participation in exact sciences, innovation and technology.
These activities are the following:
Third Meeting of Women in Electricity aimed to students, alumni and academic staff of the Department of Electrical Engineering.
Cyberbullyng as Gender Violence aimed to the women community of the Department of Informatics Engineering.
“Ingeniería en 360°” Podcast: Women in Engineering: this activity is led by Carolina Ramírez, PhD student in Informatics, Priscilla Leiva, fifth-year mining engineering student and Verónica Larghi, former student from the civil engineering program.
Stories of Women Engineers: activity organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering with the participation of three students from the three different undergraduate programs of the academic unit.
