Financial aid for graduate students

The Universidad de Santiago de Chile has several financing alternatives to study a graduate degree in the Faculty of Engineering. Depending on your profile and objectives, you must choose the alternative that best meets your needs. Some of the internal scholarships are:

1. Excellence Scholarship for Foreigners: This scholarship is aimed at students with a non-Chilean nationality and are applying for a PhD program from the call.

2. PhD Scholarship: Provides total funding of the PhD tuition fee, in addition to an amount in money for personal expenses.

3. Master tuition fee scholarship: Gives total or partial financing of the tuition fee of the program and does not provide the payment of a basic biannual fee (registration fee). The requirements are: Be a regular student of an accredited program and demonstrate participation in an external scholarship contest at the Universidad de Santiago.

4. Maintenance Scholarship for Master: This scholarship is related to an amount of money for personal expenses of the grant holder. The requirements are to be a regular student of an accredited program or in the process of reaccreditation by CNA-Chile and to demonstrate participation in an external scholarship contest to the Universidad de Santiago de Chile. The benefited students must pay in turn with hours of teaching or administrative assistantship.

5. Research Support scholarship: Consists of an amount of money (up to US $ 1,500) that is assigned to graduate students who participate in congresses, symposiums, external courses or seminars, or equivalent activities that are significant in their training. Students must belong to an accredited program.

6. UTE ex-offices scholarship: Exemption from payment of the tuition fee of the program. The requirements are to be an academic of one of the regional universities that had their origin in ex-offices of the old Universidad Técnica del Estado, and that maintain a current cooperation agreement with the Universidad de Santiago which contemplates a similar benefit in favor of our academics and have been accepted in some postgraduate program.

7. Universidad de Santiago de Chile Official Scholarship: Reduces 50% of the tuition fee for the graduate program and the payment of the basic semestral fee (registration fee). The requirement is to be an official of the Universidad de Santiago de Chile, either as an academic or administrative official.
